A team of Indian police reached Dhaka on Thursday to investigate the reported murder of Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar in Kolkata, according to the source of Detective Branch (DB) of police.
Meanwhile, the DB police have arrested Amanullah alias Shimul Bhuiyan, Shilasti Rahman and Faysal Ali alias Saji in connection with the murder.
Of them, Amanullah was the mastermind of the killing incident, the DB source said adding that the Indian police team will interrogate the three accused.
Anwarul Azim was reportedly killed in Kolkata eight days after his missing.
He went to India through Darshana border on 12 May. He was in contact with the family till 14 May.
However, there was no information regarding his whereabouts since 16 May.
