Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif yesterday said the BNP becomes isolated from the people due to its wrong politics and aggressive one-sided decision.
“BNP becomes isolated from the people as the party is hatching conspiracy against the country. Stern action will be taken if anyone tries to foil the election,” he said while addressing a human chain and pro-test procession organized by Jatiya Sramik League in front of the National Press Club here.
The program was held protesting the killing of a truck driver named Belal through arson attacks carried out by BNP-Jamaat.
Hanif said BNP will achieve nothing by carrying out subversive activities in the name of movement. Many political parties across the globe destroyed due to their terrorist activities, he said adding that BNP will also be destroyed if the party continues their terrorist activities.
Hanif said BNP-Jamaat again started arson attacks like 2013, 2014 and 2015 in the name of movement which cannot be program of a political party.
The Awami League leader said next general election will be held in time according to schedule as per the country`s constitution. No evil force can foil the poll, he said.
