Chuadanga: A 38-year-old man’s body was recovered from the border region in the Darshana upazila of Chuadanga on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Nazim Uddin, son of Ershad Ali from Dakshin Chandpur in the Darshana municipality, said Shahid Titumir, officer-in-charge of Darshana Police Station.
Nazim’s elder brother informed the police that the body was found at Ishwarchandra field, approx-imately 200 yards from the Zero Point on the Bangladesh-India border, in the morning, said the OC.
Lt. Col Md Rafiq, commandant of the BGB-58 Battalion in Moheshpur, said that he visited the spot.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to the Chuadanga General Hospital morgue for an au-topsy. Legal proceedings were underway regarding the matter, the OC added.
