Hasan says BNP kills people in name movement

Chattogram: Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud yesterday said BNP is destroying public properties, carrying out arson attacks on public transports and killing people in the name of boycotting poll.
“On the other hand, the Awami League government is carrying out development activities across the country and constructing roads, bridges, culverts and rail lines. And the government is also distributing books to the students free of cost,” he said.
The ruling party leader said this while addressing streets rallies at different areas including Goalpura Ba-zar, Kodala Bazar, Tea Garden of Kodala Union of Ranguniya upazila of the district.
Later, he campaigned at Sarafbhata in Ranguniya upazila and Sripur-Kharandiwp union of Boalkhali upazila.
Dr Hasan, who is a candidate of Awami League in Chattogram-7 constituency, sought vote for ‘Boat’, the electoral symbol of Awami League.
He said the politics of BNP-Jamaat is nothing but terrorism, he said, urging all to resist them (BNP-Jamaat) with an iron hand to protect the country.
The minister said Jamaat gives slogans that ‘Allah’r Ain Chai… Soth loker Shashon Chai (‘Want the law of Allah … want rule of honest people). But they didn’t make any statement against the atrocity of Israeli forces against Palestinian people, he added.
