An auto rickshaw driver was injured as unidentified miscreants exploded crude bombs in differ-ent areas in the capital on Friday.
The explosions were reported in Jatrabari, Malibagh, Agargaon, Mohakhali, Babubazar, Mogh-bazar and Rampura between the afternoon and midnight.
In Jatrabari, miscreants detonated several bombs near Jatrabari Police Station and the Chauras-ta police box around 7:45pm-8pm.
Autorickshaw driver Ibadur Rahman, 26 was injured in the blasts and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, police said.
Besides, miscreants also set to afire a passenger bus near Kafrul police station.
Earlier, two crude bombs exploded beside the road near Shohagh Paribahan counter, opposite to Malibagh Railgate around 2:25pm-2:30pm.
Police said the devices appeared to have been thrown from the flyover. No casualties were re-ported.
Around 6pm, another crude bomb exploded in front of Betar Bhaban in Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police said.
At about the same time, a crude bomb was thrown from Mohakhali Flyover onto the road, ac-cording to Banani police.
A crude bomb exploded beneath Babubazar Bridge around 8pm, while another exploded near the Jame Mosque at Moghbazar intersection around 9:15pm. No casualties were reported in ei-ther incident.
Police also reported two hand-bomb explosions on the road opposite the main gate of Bangla-desh Television in Rampura around 11pm. No casualties were initially reported.
Separately, a Mirpur Link Paribahan bus caught fire in front of Kafrul Police Station around 10:15pm. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Niaz Mehedi the bomb disposal unit visited each of the in-cident sites and collected samples.
Local police stations and other agencies were also investigating the incidents.
