PM inquires about treatment of Mugdho’s father

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman yesterday inquired about the treatment of Shaheed Mugdho’s father Mir Mostafizur Rahman, who was undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) after suffering a heart attack.
Mir Mughdho lost his life during the mass uprising in 2024 led by the people and students of the coun-try.
Upon learning about Mostafizur’s illness, BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman instructed his Additional Press Secretary and convener of ‘Amra BNP Poribar’ Atikur Rahman Rumon to take nec-essary steps to ensure proper treatment and support.
A delegation led by the Prime Minister’s personal physician Dr. Monowarul Kadir Bitu, along with Member Secretary of Amra BNP Poribar Mokhchedul Momin Mithun visited NICVD this afternoon. The team oversaw the overall treatment of Mugdha’s father and conveyed the Prime Minister’s message of sympathy and support.
Mostafizur’s complex cardiac surgery was successfully completed on Monday. The operation was con-ducted by an experienced medical team led by renowned cardiologist and hospital director Dr. Abdul Wadud Chowdhury.
On behalf of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the organization Amra BNP Poribar has been providing overall support at various stages of the treatment process of Shaheed Mir Mugdha’s father.
