Woman burned to death in fire

Bagerhat: A 45-year-old woman was burned to death in a fire which broke out at a house at Bhatto Bali-aghata in Sadar upazila of Bagerhat district on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Safia Begum, wife of Abdul Goni Sheikh of the upazila.
Sarwar Hossain, deputy director of Bagerhat Fire Station, said a fire originating from a gas oven broke out at the house of Abdul Goni around 8:30 pm on Sunday.
Soon after the incident, local people rushed in and extinguished the fire.
On information, a firefighting unit rushed to the spot and recovered the charred body of Safia.
