State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam held a meeting on Friday with the executive vice-president of the European Commission for an economy that works for people and European Trade Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis in Brussels and discussed ways of cooperation in key areas.
The discussion included trade and investment partnership between Bangladesh and the EU, EU’s new GSP scheme, investments in renewable energy and green transport.
The two sides also discussed the EU’s Global Gateway initiative and other bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Member of Parliament Nahim Razzak and Ambassador of Bangladesh to Belgium Mahbub Hassan Saleh were also present in the meeting.
