Intelligence surveillance beefed up in markets: Harun

Stating one after another fire incidents could be sabotage, Chief of Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Harun Or Rashid has said intelligence surveillance has been increased in almost all the markets in the capital for security.

He made this remark while talking to journalists after a meeting with business leaders at DMP headquarters in the capital at noon on Wednesday.

The DB chief said, “We are observing that repeated fire incidents are taking place before Eid. Recently, two major fire incidents took place at the same time. The incidents may be sabotage. As a result, intelligence surveillance has been beefed up.”
