Scottish delegation meets Speaker

A six-member Scottish delegation, led by Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) and Scotland Cross Party Group Convener Foysol Hussain Choudhury, yesterday paid a courtesy call on Speaker of the Jatiya
Sangsad (JS) Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at the latter’s office here.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues including bilateral friendly relations, parliamen-tary session, education system and parliamentary elections, said an official handout.
The Speaker said that Bangladesh-Scotland have bilateral friendly relations.
She said that it is possible to strengthen this relationship by exchanging mutual visits between par-liamentary alliance groups.
Foysol Hussain Choudhury said that International university campuses can be established in Bang-ladesh as the country is advancing in the field of education.
He also lauded Dr Shirin for performing her duties efficiently as the first woman Speaker of Bang-ladesh.
