Local BNP leader arrested in Sirajganj

Sirajganj: Police on Sunday arrested a local BNP leader from Chauhali upazila of Sirajganj district while distributing leaflets containing to boycott the 12th parliamentary election slated for January 7.
The arrestee was identified as Bijoy Ahmed, joint convenor of Enayetpur Thana unit BNP.
Md. Abdur Razzak, officer in charge (OC) of Enayetpur Police Station said they conducted a drive in Enayetpur Khwaja Yunus Ali University Ghat area on Sunday evening and arrested him.
There are 4 sabotage cases against him.
He was sent to the jail on Monday afternoon, added the OC.
