Vote urged for Boat to build smart Bangladesh

Netrakona: State Minister for Social Welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru yesterday called upon the people to cast their votes for the AL’s electoral symbol ‘Boat’ to build up the country as ‘Smart Bangladesh’.
“I am making a clarion call to you to cast your vote in favor of ‘Boat’ to build up the country as Smart Bangladesh, ” he said this while addressing at a series of way side electioneering meetings during his electioneering campaign in different areas of Netrakona-2 constituency.
Khasru said the upcoming general election will be held in a free, fair and neutral manner under the su-pervision of the election commission.
“The people of the country will cast their votes for ‘Boat’ to uphold the spirit of the Liberation War and protect the democracy and sovereignty of the country,” Khasru, also a valiant Freedom Fighter, said.
He urged all to forge a greater unity and solidarity among them under the leadership of AL President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for foiling all sorts of conspiracies of anti-liberation forces including BNP-Jamaat who are trying to thwart the upcoming polls.
Chairman of Netrakona Zilla Parishad Asit Kumar Sarker Sazal, mayor of Netrakona municipality Nazrul Islam Khan, chairman of Netrakona sader upazila Ataur Rahman Manik, front ranking leaders of district AL and its front organizations and freedom fighters were, among others, addressed in the meet-ings.
