The election campaign of Awami League-nominated candidate Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun has got momentum in Monohardi of Narsingdi.
“We should vote for boat to continue the country’s development spree. A project worth Tk100 crore is going on for the development of the Dhaka-Sylhet highway, which will change the economic landscape in the area,” Industry Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun told a community-based campaign at the bus stand of the area on Thursday.
The incumbent lawmaker also urged the activists of the Chhatra League and the Jubo League to check conspiracies against elections and the democracy of the country.
“People have extended their support for the boat with inspiration from the development-bound politics of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. We have opened fertilizer factories for farmers. There will be 10 lakh tons of fertilizer production. In the future, if we can form the cabinet under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, then we will be able to complete the rest of the development work,” he said.
AL Monohardi upazila unit president Fazlul Haque, general secretary Priyashish Roy, municipality unit president Kafil Uddin, and general secretary Abdus Samad Molla Jadu were, among others, present with upazila unit joint general secretary Aminur Rashid Sujan in the chair. A huge procession was held after the meeting.
