Khagrachhari: A case has been filed with Panchari Police Station against 15 to 20 unknown people over the killing of four members of the United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF) leaders in Panchari of the district.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Panchari Police Station Shafiul Azam said Nirupam Chakma, uncle of de-ceased Bipul Chakma, filed the murder case yesterday (Wednesday) morning accusing 15/20 unknown people.
Post-mortems of the bodies of four UPDF leaders have been completed. Since this incident, three leaders of UPDF are still missing, he said.
Bipul Chakma, central organizing secretary of UPDF Prasit Group-affiliated Democratic Youth Forum, PCP central vice-president Sunil Tripura, Democratic Youth Forum leader Liton Chakma and UPDF member Ruhin Bikas Tripura were killed by miscreants on Monday night.
Meanwhile, the terrorists took away three more people.
After 19 hours, police recovered the bodies of the four victims from the spot at around 5 pm on Tues-day, the OC said.
