Miscreants set at least 12 vehicles on fire in the past 24 hours until 6am on Thursday at different places in the country during the nationwide blockade enforced by BNP and like-minded opposition parties.
Of the vehicles, six were burnt in Dhaka city, three in Chattogram, two in Gazipur, and one in Sirajganj, according to the media cell of the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
The vehicles included six buses, two covered vans, one truck, and three pickup vans, it said.
Twenty-one firefighting units worked to douse the fires.
As many as 266 arson attacks on vehicles and establishments across Bangladesh have been reported until 6am on 7 December from 28 October, the media cell added.
