3 more Rohingya men shot killed in Ukhiya camp

In separate incidents, three more Rohingya men were shot to death by unidentified assailants in Ukhiya upazila of Cox’s Bazar district on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Md Zobair, 18; Anwar Sadique, 17; and Kashim, 34, – all residents of Ukhiya camps 15 and 17.
Shamim Hossain, officer-in-charge of Ukhiya Police Station, said that miscreants picked up four Roh-ingya men from camp 15, took them to an abandoned place, and opened fire at 10:30 pm on Tuesday – leaving two killed on the spot and two others injured.
The perpetrators also called Kashim to come out of the camp and shot him there, leaving him dead.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to local hospital morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, another Rohingya youth, identified as Imam Hossain, 30, a resident of camp 4, was shot to death on Tuesday afternoon.
Police are trying to arrest the attackers, said the Ukhiya Police Station OC.
