The arsonists torched the bus of Tanjil Paribahan at 2:23 pm, Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director (DAD) of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters media cell said.
On information, two firefighting units of Siddique Bazar fire station reached the spot and extinguished the fire around 2:40pm, he added.
No casualties were reported, said the officer.
According to the Fire Service, 252 vehicles have been set on fire during the blockades and hartals since October 28.
