AL names 298 candidates

The Awami League has announced the names of its candidates for the 12th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) election slated for January 7.
AL’s general secretary Obaidul Quader announced the names at party’s central office here this af-ternoon.
Names of the candidates for Narayanganj-5 and Kushtia-2 constituencies were not announced.
Among the new faces are star cricketer Shakib Al Hasan for Magura-1 and actor Ferdous Ahmed for Dhaka-10.
Obaidul Quader said nominated candidates will vie for the next general polls with the symbol of “Boat”.
