JD leader arrested in sabotage case

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) yesterday arrested Jatiyatabadi thana Jubo Dal general secretary in a case lodged over sabotage in the city.
The arrestee Titu, 45, son of Shafiuddin at Jatrabari thana area, has a case pending against him under special powers act.
Confirming the matter, RAB-10 Deputy Director and Assistant Director (Ops) Aminul Islam said that a team of RAB-10 conducted a combing operation in Demra police station area of the capital and managed to detain him.
RAB seized a mobile phone from his possession. During initial quizzing, Titu confessed his involvement in the incident.
He has been handed over to the concerned thana, said the RAB official.
