The BNP has reconstituted the convening committee of its Dhaka South city unit, appointing Dhaka South City Corporation Administrator Abdus Salam as convener and retaining Tanvir Ahmed Robin as member secretary.
The decision was announced in a press release signed by party’s Office Secretary Munir Hossain on Sunday.
Abdul Kadir Bhuiyan Jewel has been made senior joint convener, while ANM Saiful Islam has been appointed joint convener.
Before the reconstitution, Feni-1 MP Munshi Rafiqul Alam was the convener of the unit, while Robin served as its member secretary.
The latest move came after BNP formed a new convening committee for its Dhaka North unit on November 1.
Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Safiqul Islam Khan was named convener of the North unit, while Dhaka-18 MP SM Jahangir Hossain was appointed its member secretary.
