Prime Minister’s Labour and Employment Adviser Mahdi Amin has reiterated the government’s commitment to build a sustainable, secure and respectable working environment through creating opportunities for quality employment.
At the same time, Mahdi said the government’s main goal is to increasing the capacity of the workforce, giving the economy an institutional basis and ensuring the economic empowerment of women.
The adviser made the remarks at a symposium held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon in the capital on Friday.
Speaking at the event, Mahdi said the government is ready for providing all types of policy assistance to maintain the production at industries and protecting the legal rights of the workers in order to deal with global crises.During the event, Mahdi focused on good relationships between owner-worker and a stable, industry-friendly environment so that no factory shuts down due to unavoidable circumstances.
Mahdi said, “The government’s aim is to stand beside the large working-class population and ensuring their rights. Efforts are on to create a sustainable industrial environment through balancing the interests of the owners and the workers.”
Prime Minister’s Adviser and international labour leader Nazrul Islam Khan, among others, also spoke at the event.
