Qatar Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his swearing-in as President of Bangladesh.
In a congratulatory message yesterday sent to President Mirza Fakhrul, the Amir wished him suc-cess in discharging his responsibilities as the head of state.
Sheikh Tamim also expressed hope that the relations between Bangladesh and Qatar would con-tinue to develop and grow in the days ahead.
Mirza Fakhrul was elected the 23rd President of Bangladesh on August 20 and took the oath of of-fice on Friday.
