Police recovered a pistol and six rounds of bullets from an abandoned condition at a garbage dump in the South Khilgaon area of the capital early Sunday.
However, no one was arrested in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Shahjahanpur Police Station conducted a drive at a garbage dump in Bagicha Jhilpara of the South Khilgaon area around 12:35 am and recovered a pistol and six bullets, said Additional Deputy Police Commissioner Niaz Mehedi.
Legal steps are underway in this regard, he said.
