Dengue death toll hits 50

Staff Reporter:

Three people died of dengue and 534 new patients were hospitalized across the country in the 24 hours until 8:00am on Wednesday.
With the latest fatalities, the dengue death toll has risen to 50 in the country this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The new deaths were reported in Barishal and Mymensingh divisions, and Dhaka South City Corpora-tion, it said.
Since January 1 this year, a total of 14,690 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country.
Of them, 13,452 have recovered and been discharged, while 1,188 patients are currently undergoing treatment, according to the DGHS.
