Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) yesterday forecasted rain in different parts of the country today.
“Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka & Mymensingh divisions,” said a Met office bulletin yesterday.
Besides, it said, moderately heavy falls may occur at places over the country.
Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged and night temperature may rise slightly over the coun-try.
The highest temperature on Saturday was 35.8 degrees Celsius in Tetulia, while yesterday’s minimum temperature is 24.2 degrees Celsius in Rangamati.
In the last 24 hours (till 06 am yesterday), the highest 36 millimetre rainfall occurred in Srimangal.
The sun sets at 6.45 pm and rises at 5.26 am in Dhaka.
