Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) yesterday forecasted rain in different parts of the country today.
According to a Met office bulletin issued this morning, “Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accom-panied by temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions,” Besides, moderately heavy falls may occur at places over the country.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country.
The highest temperature on Friday was recorded at 35.7 degrees Celsius in Dimla, while yesterday’s min-imum temperature was 23.2 degrees Celsius in Narayanganj.
In the last 24 hours (till 6am yesterday), the highest rainfall of 109 millimeters was recorded in Satkhira.
The sun sets at 6:45pm yesterday and rises at 5:25am today in Dhaka.
