Outgoing Chief of Bangladesh Navy Admiral M Nazmul Hassan yesterday paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at his Bangladesh Secretariat office yesterday afternoon.
During the meeting, they discussed issues relating to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, maritime security, modernisation of the Bangladesh Navy and other matters of national interests.
The Prime Minister appreciated Admiral Nazmul Hassan’s achievements during his tenure, commending his visionary leadership and contribution to the modernization of the Bangladesh Navy, enhancement of its operational capabilities and efforts to further strengthen it as a professional force.
