Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) yesterday forecasted light to moderate rain or thunder-showers accompanied by temporary gusty winds across the country today.
According to a Met Office bulletin issued this morning, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at most places over Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur,
Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions.
The bulletin also said moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur at places across the country.
Day temperature may rise slightly, while night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the coun-try.
The country’s highest temperature on Monday was recorded at 32.6 degrees Celsius in Jashore, while yesterday’s minimum temperature was 22 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
During the last 24 hours until 6:00 am yesterday, the highest rainfall of 101 millimeters was recorded in Mongla.
The sun will rise at 5:23 am today in Dhaka.
