Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has said that there is an attempt to fish in troubled waters is visible in the movement of HSC students.
He said, “Some vested groups are active behind the movement of some students demanding the resignation of the education minister with the aim of embarrassing the government. Many of those who are protesting are not real students or examinees. They are trying to fish in troubled waters on various issues by hiding their own identities.”
He said this while talking to reporters on Thursday. The home minister also mentioned that such a trend of movement was seen earlier during the interim government as well.
He said, “They have informed the education minister about their demands, informed the government. The education ministry has made its position clear in this regard that if any student fails to participate in the exam due to adverse weather conditions, they will be given the opportunity to take the exam again.”
The minister said, “The education ministry will conduct an investigation into the two questions in Physics that were wrong. The responsible persons will be identified and action will be taken. However, it has been announced that the marks of those two questions will be added. The examinees are satisfied. Even after this, if someone does not participate in the next exam or cannot take it, they will be given a chance later during the Chattogram Education Board exam. The problem has been solved here.”
Regarding the political situation in the country and the trial of the former prime minister, Salahuddin said, “Preparations are underway for our local government elections. And as soon as Sheikh Hasina returns to the country, she will be arrested and the court verdict will be activated.”
The home minister also said that law and order is being improved as per public expectations.
