Staff Reporter:
The Bandarban district administration has extended the closure of all tourist attractions until 15 July due to persistent heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions.
The decision was announced in an emergency public notice signed by Deputy Commissioner Md Saniul Ferdous on Friday.
According to the notice, continuous heavy rain has created hazardous conditions on roads and communication networks across different parts of the hill district. Considering the prevailing weather and the need to ensure public safety, the authorities have extended the restriction originally imposed on 8 July until 15 July.
During this period, all tourist destinations, waterfalls, hill trails, river routes, remote areas and other high-risk locations in Bandarban will remain closed to tourists, tour operators and the general public.
The district administration has urged everyone concerned to strictly comply with the directive and exercise maximum caution until the weather situation improves.
