The government has appointed Abdullah Al Mamun, a Deputy Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division, as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Sylhet.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification on Thursday confirming his appointment.
Earlier, on 28 June, the government had appointed Cumilla Deputy Commissioner Md Reza Hasan as the Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet. However, he did not take up the post.
