The second session of the 13th Parliament will resume today after a week-long recess following the pas-sage of a Tk 9,38,000-crore national budget for 2026-27 fiscal year on June 30 last.
Today’s session will begin at 3:00pm.
The Public Examinations (Offences) (Amendment) Bill, 2026 is likely to be passed in the Parliament, in order to bring changes to the existing law of 1980.
Besides, the Bogura University Bill, 2026 will be placed in a bid to abolish the existing Bogura Univer-sity of Science and Technology, according to the schedule.
At the outset of the sitting, the question-and-answer session will be held on the Ministry of Water Re-sources, the Law and Justice Division, the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division, the Public Administration Ministry, the Fisheries and Livestock Ministry and Bangladesh Public Service Commis-sion.
on June 30, the second session of the current parliament was adjourned immediately after the passage of the budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.
