Probe finds Inu’s role in 2013 Shapla massacre: ICT chief prosecutor

The International Crimes Tribunal’s (ICT) investigating team has found evidence that Hasanul Haq Inu, former information minister and current president of (JCD), was involved in the massacre of Islamic teachers and students at the Shapla Square massacre.

ICT Chief Prosecutor Aminul Islam confirmed the development on Thursday, adding Inu will be shown arrested in the crimes against humanity case.

The ICT team will submit its final probe report and will also ask the tribunal to form formal charges towards the end of the month, Aminul Islam noted.
