The government will start the process of promoting assistant teachers to over 36,000 vacant posts of headmasters at primary schools across the country, said Education Minister AHM Ehsanul Hoque Milon on Thursday.
The ministry has launched the process after learning that the Supreme Court allowed the promotions in a verdict earlier in the day, Ehsanul Hoque Milon said at a press conference held in the Secretariat.
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Booby Hajjaj, and Attorney General Ruhul Kuddus were also present at the presser.
