The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has reduced the retail price of a 12kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder by Tk357 to Tk1,528.
The regulator also cut the price of autogas used in vehicles to Tk74.40 per litre from Tk86.93 per litre.
BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed announced the new prices at a press conference on Thursday afternoon.
The revised prices will come into effect from 6pm on Thursday.
According to BERC, the prices were reduced following a decline in international LPG prices and freight charges.
Earlier, on 2 June, BERC reduced the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder from Tk1,940 to Tk1,885. At the same time, the price of autogas was lowered from Tk89.50 to Tk86.93 per litre.
