Fire at Tongi mobil recycling factory doused

A fire that broke out at a mobil recycling factory in the Tongi area of Gazipur on Saturday afternoon was doused after one and a half hours of efforts.
The blaze erupted around 2:10pm at Eco Tech Limited in the Pubail College Gate area, according to a Facebook post by Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Three firefighting units from Tongi Fire Station rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control at 2:54pm.
“The fire was doused around 3:40pm with the efforts of the three units,” it said.
“No casualties were reported,” it said.
The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
