Major fire breaks out at Chattogram slum

A major fire broke out at a slum in Chattogram’s Halishahar area on Tuesday morning, prompting an emergency response from the Fire Service.

The blaze originated in the I-Block area of Halishahar, according to the Chattogram Fire Service control room.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

After receiving the news, four firefighting units from the Agrabad Fire Station rushed to the scene and began efforts to bring the flames under control.

Details regarding casualties or the extent of property damage could not be known immediately.
