Govt cuts price of 12kg LPG cylinder

The government has reduced the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for June.

The price of a 12-kg cylinder has been fixed at Tk1,885, down from Tk1,940.

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new rates in a statement on Tuesday

The price of autogas used in vehicles has also been reduced from Tk89.50 to Tk86.93 per litre.

The new rates will come into effect from 6pm on Tuesday, the BERC statement said.

Earlier, on 19 April, the price of a 12-kg LPG cylinder was increased by Tk212 to Tk1,940.
