The government has promoted three additional secretaries to the rank of secretary.
On Monday, the Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications in this regard.
Additional Secretary of the home ministry Md Ataur Rahman Khan has been promoted to the rank of secretary and appointed as secretary of the commerce ministry.
Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner and Additional Secretary Farah Shammi has been appointed secretary for coordination and reforms at the Cabinet Division.
Nasir-ud-Doula, additional secretary of the agriculture ministry, has been promoted to the rank of secretary and posted to the Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission as chairman.
Besides, the government has attached Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Secretary Quazi Anowar Hossain to the Ministry of Public Administration.
ICT Division Additional Secretary Md Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan has been appointed as acting secretary of the same division.
The orders, issued in the public interest, would come into effect immediately, according to the notifications.
