Zubaida stands by measles-infected baby

Prime Minister’s wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman has come forward to extend humanitarian hands to 6-month-old Noor Nahar, who is suffering from measles.
She took the move as a media report titled “Condition of a 6-month-old measles-infected baby critical, mother has no money and does not know what to do” drew her attention.
Following this, Zubaida Rahman, also Vice-President of Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) and one of the organizers of the internationally reputed voluntary organization Surovi, asked for giving all necessary support to her family to ensure the treatment of Noor Nahar.
At the same time, she asked the voluntary organization “Amra BNP Paribar” to supervise the matter.
As part of these efforts, a delegation of Amra BNP Paribar led by its member secretary Moksedul Momin Mithun met the child’s mother Swarna Akter and inquired about the baby’s treatment at the In-fectious Diseases Hospital in the capital’s Mohakhali.
The organization also took initiatives to ensure necessary medical assistance.
The delegation assured the helpless family of continued support and stated that arrangements for ad-vanced treatment of the child had already begun.
According to media report, Noor Nahar, 6-month-old daughter of Keraniganj resident Swarna Akter, has been admitted to the Infectious Diseases Hospital with symptom of measles and pneumonia.
