Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has congratulated the Bangladesh national cricket team for winning the first Test match against touring Pakistan in Dhaka for the first time.
The premier’s Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony shared the information to media.
Bangladesh secured a 104-run victory in the first Test of the two-match series against Pakistan at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital yesterday.
Earlier, Bangladesh had won their last two Test matches against Pakistan in Pakistan; this time, they achieved victory on home soil. This marks the Tigers’ third consecutive Test win against the team.
In the Mirpur Test, Bangladesh set a target of 268 runs. However, Pakistan were all out for 163 runs.
