DCCI President expresses condolences on the demise of Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman
President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), Taskeen Ahmed, along with the members of the Board of Directors, has expressed deep and heartfelt condolences on the sudden demise of Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, GoB.
It is mentioned here that Mahbubur Rahman passed away today, April 17, 2026, at the age of 58 while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital (Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun).
Throughout his remarkable career, particularly as the Commerce Secretary, he worked relentlessly with great expertise to expand trade and investment in the country as well as private sector development.
The DCCI family respectfully remembers and honors his valuable contribution to the private sector led economic development.
