US-Bangla Airlines has brought back 27 flight crew members of Biman Bangladesh Airlines who had been stranded in Dubai amid the ongoing situation in the Middle East.
The Biman flight crew had been stuck in the United Arab Emirates for the past five days since 28 February, when the conflict situation began.
During this period, the crew members were living in uncertainty, while their family members in Bangladesh were passing anxious days, said a press release.
US-Bangla Airlines arranged their return to the country, easing the worries of their families. As a service-oriented airline, the company took the initiative to assist in bringing back the stranded crew members and Bangladeshi passengers.
With permission from the Dubai Airport Authority, US-Bangla Airlines is operating two special flights to repatriate stranded Bangladeshis.
One of the flights landed safely at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Thursday carrying 378 passengers.
According to the airline, the second special flight is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on Friday morning.
The special repatriation flights are being operated using a Airbus A330-300 aircraft with a seating capacity of 436 passengers.
