Shafiqur offers first Jummah prayers as Dhaka-15 MP

Newly elected member of parliament from the Dhaka-15 (Mirpur-Kafrul) constituency and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman offered his first Jummah prayers as an MP on Friday.

He performed the congregational prayer at Kazipara Masjidur Rahman Jame Mosque in the Kazipara area of Mirpur.

Before the prayers, Shafiqur delivered a brief speech to the worshippers.

In his speech, he prayed for the welfare of the country and its people and emphasised the need to build a justice-based society founded on morality and human values.

He called upon everyone to work together in unity for the greater public good.

After the prayers, he exchanged greetings with the congregation and listened to various concerns raised by local residents. Local party leaders and community members were also present on the occasion.
