The Press Wing of the Chief Adviser has called a press briefing scheduled for Saturday.
The briefing will be held at 11:00am at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in the capital.
The information was confirmed to the media on Friday evening by Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, senior assistant press secretary to the chief adviser.
He said that Prof Ali Riaz, special assistant to Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus, will brief journalists at the event.
Members of the media have been requested to attend the press briefing.
On Thursday (12 February), the 13th National Parliamentary Election and Referendum were held peacefully.
According to the results, the BNP-led alliance secured victory in more than two-thirds of the parliamentary seats.
It is expected that during Saturday’s press briefing, Prof Ali Riaz will inform the media, on behalf of the interim government, about the swearing-in of the newly elected members and the process of transfer of power.
