Staff Reporter:
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education (MoPME) has declared a letter circulating on social media, claiming the nationalization of 104 private primary schools across the country, as fake and baseless.
A notification was sent on January 27 from the Ministry’s School-1 wing to the Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education in this regard.
In it, Deputy Secretary (School-2) of MoPME Rajib Kumar Sarker stated that the so-called letter, issued in the name of the Chief Adviser’s Office, is not authentic.
According to the Ministry, the letter circulating on social media bore the signature of Assistant Director Mohammad Rafiqul Alam of the Chief Adviser’s Office (Memo No: 03.06.2690.068.25.003.26-56) and claimed that the Chief Adviser had approved the nationalization of 104 private primary schools.
The Chief Adviser’s Office, however, confirmed that the letter was not issued by them and termed it completely fake.
The Ministry has urged all field offices and agencies to remain vigilant regarding the misleading letter and to inform concerned parties that it is unauthorized.
