Bhola: Three people were killed and 20 others injured when a bus hit an auto-rickshaw on Bhola-Charfassion highway at Gazaria in Lalmohan upazila of Bhola district on Monday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Waliul Islam, officer-in-charge of Lalmohan Police Station, said the accident occurred around 2:30 pm in front of Dr Azahar Uddin Degree College when the Charfassion-bound bus hit the auto-rickshaw as its driver lost control over steering and plunged into a roadside ditch, leaving three passengers of auto-rickshaw killed on the spot and 20 others injured.
On information, police and local fire service men rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
The injured were taken to a local hospital.
