Newly appointed United States Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent Christensen was sworn in at the US State Department in Washington, marking the beginning of his new diplomatic assignment, the US em-bassy said in Dhaka on Saturday morning.
“I am thrilled to return to Bangladesh, a country I know so well. I am excited to lead a great team at Embassy in Dhaka, Americans and locally employed staff alike, to enhance U.S.-Bangladesh relations, advance President Trump’s agenda, and work hard every day to make America safer, stronger, and more prosperous.” Ambassador Brent Christensen said after the sworn-in on Friday.
As a special invitee, visiting Bangladesh’s National Security Adviser Dr. Khalilur Rahman attended the swearing-in ceremony of Brent Christensen held at the State Department, the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington said.
