14 police officials transferred

The government in a fresh reshuffle in police department yesterday transferred five deputy inspectors general (DIGs), three Additional DIGs and six Superintendents of Police (SPs), including supernumer-ary officers, in different positions.
“The order will come into effect immediately,” according to a notification signed by Deputy Secretary of the Home Affairs Ministry Md Mahbubur Rahman.
According to the notification, DIG of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) SM Fazlur Rahman has been transferred to Police Telecom Unit as DIG, DIG of CID Md Sazzadur Rahman to Armed Police Battalion (APBn) as DIG, Joint Commissioners of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Mohammad Os-man Gani and Sana Shaminur Rahman to the same unit as additional commissioners and additional DIG of Special Branch (SB) Mohammad Fayezul Kabir to SB as DIG.
In the same notification, Addl-DIG of CID Raihan Uddin Khan has been transferred to DMP as joint commissioner, while it cancelled the previous transfer order of supernumerary Addl-DIG of SB Mo-hammad Moniruzzaman and supernumerary Addl-DIG of Railway Police Md Saiful Haque.
The notification also transferred superintendent of police (SP) of Tourist police Khandkar Khalid Bin Noor to DMP as deputy commissioner, SP of Police Training Centre (PTC), Noakhali Asma Begum Rita to APBn as SP, SP of PTC, Khulna Soma Hapang to In-Service Training Centre, Mymensingh as com-mandant, SP of River Police, Chattogram AFM Nizam Uddin to Police Headquarters as SP, SP of SB Mahfuza Liza to Police Headquarters as SP and supernumerary SP of SB Md Jayed Shahriar to Police Headquarters as Addil-SP.
