46th BCS viva voce postponed

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) yesterday postponed the viva voce of the 46th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), scheduled for December 31 and January 1, in respect of the demise of former Prime Minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
The BPSC issued a notification in this regard yesterday, saying the revised schedule for the viva voce would be announced later.
Begum Khaleda Zia passed away at 6am yesterday while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
Following her death, the interim government has declared three days of state mourning from Wednesday to Friday. In addition, Wednesday (December 31) will be observed as a public holiday across the coun-try.
